Spend the morning with CVNPA, CVNP, and Old Trail School exploring the habitats of herons through stories, crafts, and more. Then enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast at Old Trail School. Visit the Bath Road Heronry by a taking a ranger-led hike or a complimentary shuttle. This event highlights the important mission that we share in protecting and preserving Cuyahoga Valley National Park while educating future generations about environmental and habitat protection.
Event is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pancake breakfast is served until noon.
New this year!
Blue Heron Day will kick off with an Early Riser's Heronry Hike at 8:00 a.m! Meet at Old Trail School, head to the heronry and then come back for a tasty pancake breakfast. Also new this year, meet Christina Wald, illustrator of Henry the Impatient Heron, who will do heron illustrations at the event. She will also have copies of the book available for purchase and will be signing them.
Fee:
$6 adults, $4 children ages 6-12 in advance ($8 adults, $6 children at the door.) Children ages 5 and under are free.
