Camp Staff

Our camp counselors must be at least 18 years old, and have completed at least one year of college or have equivalent experience. All counselors are thoroughly screened, including criminal background checks, fingerprint checks and reference checks, as well as a personal interview.  First Aid and CPR certification are also required for all counselors.  Staff must also complete a week long intense training and orientation.

Low camper-to-counselor ratios promote a safe atmosphere in which teamwork and individual expression flourish. We follow ACA guidelines of 8:1 ratios for residential camp and 10:1 ratios for day camps. Campers will never be without adult supervision in any situation.
