Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center
Learn about the ecosystem and its many lively inhabitants or take a deep breath and meditate to the wonderful sounds of the outdoors
at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center. We offer one-day getaways and extended retreats with overnight facilities with
all of the accoutrements on 500 beautiful acres of wooded land.
Our Environmental Education Center includes the Lipscomb and White Pines Campuses, and the November Lodge. Buildings range from a
renovated historic 1850s farmhouse to a modernized, recently built conference center. Available for day and overnight use, these
buildings come complete with open meeting spaces and classrooms, up-to-date computer and science labs, and a fully equipped art room.
All of the buildings are heated, air-conditioned and handicapped accessible. Food service is available for any group, sleepover or
getaway for a day.
For overnight retreats, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association refers local youth and adult groups to the Lipscomb and White
Pines Campuses at Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center. Both campuses offer dormitory-style living for overnight guests.
Multiple suites accommodate up to 64 - two to eight bunk beds per room - and offer separate men's and women's bath and individual
shower facilities. The November Lodge is an optional space for overnight groups to book as part of their experience.
Lipscomb Campus
Of historical relevance, this farmstead dates back to the 1850s, and was recently renovated with hardwood floors throughout and a
lodge-like lounge with oversized brick fireplace. What used to serve as a barn in the late 1800s, houses the campus dining hall
and science lab.
November Lodge
Aesthetically appealing and set against nature's backdrop, November Lodge is the newest addition to the Environmental Education
Center. This newly built "green" building sits on Cuyahoga Valley National Park's wooded acreage. Groups come here to learn about
the natural habitat and reconnect with their artsy side, or to brainstorm a new product idea, and learn a new business or relaxation
technique in an inspirational setting that's away from the office and all of the day-to-day distractions.
November Lodge offers an open meeting space - the Legacy Meeting Room - large enough for up to 150 guests. Also available for
reservation is an art room that accommodates up to 25 and a computer lab with 12 workstations and instructor's station.
White Pines Campus
Rightfully named White Pines, this campus - including main house and barn - is surrounded by numerous towering (and ever-fragrant)
pine trees. Kitchen and dining hall facilities are available in the main house. An adjacent barn is where community and corporate
overnight guests have the opportunity to use the carpeted multipurpose room that seats up to 60 people; a science lab is also
available.
The Ledges and Octogon Shelters are two reservable picnic shelters in the Virgina Kendall
Area of Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
