The Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center residential program provides fourth through eighth
grade classrooms an overnight educational experience that
integrates science, nature study, environmental issues and
the arts. Students and their teachers participate in a four-day,
three-night interdisciplinary program focusing on the Cuyahoga
River. Students learn natural history and the concepts of
watershed, biodiversity and habitat in the Cuyahoga Valley.
In addition, environmental issues and the process of environmental
decision-making are explored. The curriculum is designed to meet
state standards and teach proficiency skills, especially in science
and social studies. For information on applying for the
residential program contact Lauren Wentz, Director, at 1-800-642-3297 ext. 109.
