"Every child should have mud pies, grasshoppers, water-bugs, tadpoles, frogs and mud-turtles, elderberries, wild strawberries, acorns, chestnuts, trees to climb, brooks to wade in, water-lilies, woodchucks, bats, bees, butterflies, various animals to pet, hayfields, pine-cones, rocks to roll, sand, snakes, huckleberries and hornets; and any child who has been deprived of these has been deprived of the best part of his education."
Quote from Luther Burbank- botanist & renowned scientist

Our Staff:
We search far and wide to find top-notch staff that help inspire and promote the camp spirit. Low camper-to-counselor ratios promote a safe, family atmosphere in which teamwork and individual expression flourish. National Park Service rangers, professional artists, faculty and CVNPA staff are all a part of the summer camp team. Counselors and staff are First-Aid and CPR certified. All staff must complete an intense training and orientation, as well as a background check prior to camp.
Residential Camp sessions are staffed by a summer camp nurse, available 24 hours a day.
An on-site food service also provides healthy meals and snacks each day of camp.
Facilities:
Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center (CVEEC) is 500-acre facility in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, mixing rustic trails with modern dormitories, dining halls, science labs, art room, and much more. All facilities are wheelchair accessible. CVNPA has an on-site food service that provides three well-rounded meals and snacks each day. We do our best to work with families to accommodate children with special dietary needs or restrictions, and always provide a vegetarian option for campers.
